Rain has washed out the final session of the second Test between Bangladesh and Australia in Chittagong for the second consecutive day, with Australia at 364-3 after Jason Gillespie recorded his maiden Test century.
Gillespie, only the fourth player to post a century coming in as a nightwatchman, had given Australia a lead of 167 runs at tea shortly after knocking a textbook cover drive to register the milestone in his 71st Test.
He reached the break on 102, while Mike Hussey, unbeaten on 93, was poised to register the second century of the day. The pair have combined for 154.
Play will begin 30 minutes early on Wednesday.
Gillespie batted for more than six hours and faced 296 balls, knocking 14 fours in his century, after being given a life on 44 when wicketkeeper Khaled Mashud dropped a chance off Mohammad Rafique.
His previous best Test score was 54 not out against New Zealand in 2004-05.
Earlier, Australia resumed the day on 151-2 with Gillespie sharing a partnership with Ricky Ponting.
The skipper started tentatively after a half-hour rain delay, almost inside edging a slower delivery on to his stumps.
He then shifted gears after a few short deliveries from Shahadat Hossain, playing an imperious stroke for six. He then played some more controlled pulls to reach his 34th Test half-century.
But his innings ended abruptly two runs later after Gillespie pushed to backward point, Ponting set off for a quick single, but Gillespie shouted 'no'.
Ponting had charged too far down the pitch though and was run out by a direct throw from Abdur Razzak, who had swept in from point.
Australia leads the two-Test series 1-0 after winning the first match in Dhaka by three wickets.
