Young Kiwis follow on

India Under-19 captain Piyush Chawla took two wickets as New Zealand were forced to follow on on the third day of the first youth Test at Lincoln.

Chawla followed his first-innings century to help remove the home batsmen as the young Kiwis were dismissed for 302, 197 runs adrift of India’s total.

Ishant Sharma took five wickets for the tourists.

Kane Williamson pulled his team out of a sticky start to their second stint at the crease, and completed the penultimate day unbeaten on 50.

New Zealand reached stumps at 77 for three, still 120 runs short of avoiding an innings defeat.
