Eden Carson

Hailing from the Maniototo farming region in Otago, young off spinner Eden Carson has continued to prove why she is one of the most promising spin bowlers in New Zealand.

Carson worked her way through age group cricket in Dunedin and debuted for the Otago Sparks in 2018, quickly establishing herself as a player to watch with her energetic off-spin and bowling variations.

Carson broke Otago records during the 2021/22 season, claiming 33 wickets across both formats and was awarded the Phyl Blackler Cup for bowling excellence at the 2022 ANZ New Zealand Cricket Awards.

Her efforts were rewarded with her first New Zealand central contract for the 2022/23 season, making her international debut against South Africa in the Commonwealth Games, as the WHITE FERNS went on to claim a bronze medal.

Carson continued to prove herself on the world stage at the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa where she was a standout performer for the WHITE FERNS claiming six wickets and taking a memorable catch at point to remove Alyssa Healy in the tournament opener against Australia.
